The Westerly Hospital Pharmacy team has been eagerly anticipating the conversion to Pyxis MedStations, which, combined with Pyxis software in the Pharmacy’s medication carousel, will provide secure medication storage, electronic tracking, safety features to avoid harmful errors, and integration with patients’ Epic medical records.
“These Pyxis cabinets will align Westerly Hospital’s medication dispensing technology with all other delivery networks within YNHHS,” said Mark Rogers, director of Pharmacy for L+M and Westerly hospitals. “Thank you to Pharmacy, Digital and Technology Solutions, Contracting and Facilities colleagues and all our nurses and clinicians for their support as we look forward to the many advantages of this upgrade.”
