Foong-Yi Lin, MD

Foong-Yi Lin, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician with extensive clinical experience, who has been practicing pediatrics since 1997. Dr. Lin is very happy to be practicing in Westerly, Rhode Island, where she started her pediatric career, cares for a lot of second-generation patients and resides. She also practices in Gales Ferry, Connecticut two days a week and is in Westerly three days a week.Dr. Lin earned her medical degree from the Dartmouth-Brown Program, a program where the first two years of study are at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire and clinical years at Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island. She completed her pediatric residency at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island before starting a solo pediatric practice in Westerly. Dr. Lin joined Northeast Medical Group Pediatrics, formerly Gales Ferry Pediatrics, in 2010. Teaching is one of Dr. Lin’s passions. She is a clinical instructor at the Yale School of Medicine and University of Connecticut Medical School. Early in her career, she was a clinical instructor at Brown University School of Medicine. Dr. Lin enjoys having students in the office and sharing the joys of pediatrics with the students. She was also an adjunct clinical associate professor of pediatrics at the Quinnipiac University School of Nursing in Hamden, Connecticut, precepting physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Dr. Lin was voted the Best of the Best Readers’ Choice Award by The Day in 2022 and 2023. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). Dr. Lin is fluent in English and Malay.
