Visiting Hours & Guidelines

Visitors are expected to comply with Westerly Hospital’s visitation policy. Passes are issued at hospital entrances to everyone visiting inpatient units.

Please note: Visitation restrictions are sometimes put in place for the safety of the patient, staff and visitors (i.e. flu season, pandemic). Please check with staff for the most current visitation guidelines.

  • General Visitation: 10 am - 8 pm.
  • Specialty units (Intensive Care and Psychiatric): Visitors are welcome, but guidelines may vary; please ask a staff member for details.
  • Any visitor exposed to chicken pox, tuberculosis, measles, mumps, respiratory illness or other infectious disease within the past three weeks are not permitted.
  • Please do not visit if you have symptoms of an infection: fever, rash, sneezing, sore throat, new or worsening cough, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

Masking: To prioritize safety, our masking policy is updated regularly based on community health trends. Before your appointment or visit, please review our masking guidelines for the latest requirements.

Please call Westerly Hospital’s Patient Relations team at 401-348-3610 or e-mail [email protected] with any questions.
