When you give to the Westerly Hospital Foundation, you help people access advanced medical technology and enjoy healthier, life-giving outcomes. From contributing to our Annual Fund to joining our Cornerstone Society, there are many ways you can support the Foundation’s mission and make a positive difference in our Westerly, Stonington and surrounding communities. Gifts to the Westerly Hospital Foundation are used exclusively for Westerly Hospital.

Founders Society members are the leaders of our Annual Fund program. Membership starts at $500, and at the Chairman’s Circle level of $1,000 or more, you receive special additional recognition.
If you pledge, verbally or in writing, to name the Hospital in your will, include the Hospital in your estate plans, and/or establish a charitable gift annuity in the Hospital’s name, you become a member of The Westerly Hospital Foundation’s Cornerstone Society.
Cornerstone Society members provide significant long-term support for the Hospital while achieving personal tax objectives and/or maintaining lifetime income. Members also gather annually with Hospital leadership to learn about the current status of Westerly Hospital and its future goals and plans.
Contributions to the Annual Fund assist the Hospital in making capital investments in the latest technology of direct benefit to our patients.
Tribute gifts are a thoughtful way for you to recognize a friend or family member’s special occasion or to honor the memory of a loved one. Those who have gifts made in their memory are commemorated in our Angel of Hope Memorial Garden for two years, after which their plaque is permanently placed in the Hospital Chapel. All those honored with gifts made in memory of or in honor of are listed in the Hospital’s Annual Journal of Tribute Gifts.
When making a gift, please inform us if you wish to notify the family of your recipient and, if so, provide their contact information.

Planned Gifts are a wonderful way for you to support the Hospital’s mission while providing you with potential estate planning benefits. Some gift arrangements can provide a stream of income to you and/or your spouse for a lifetime or for a specified number of years. Examples of Planned Gifts include charitable gift annuities, remainder and lead trusts, simple bequests, and the naming of The Westerly Hospital as a full or partial beneficiary of an IRA or other retirement or insurance policy.
