The Westerly Hospital Auxiliary will hold its annual “Lights of Love” reception on Sunday, December 6 at 4:00 p.m. in the Hospital’s main lobby. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Lights of Love program and past presidents of the Auxiliary will be honored at the reception.
Lights of Love are purchased in memory or honor of a loved one whose name will then be posted on a Lights of Love board in the Hospital’s main lobby. Beginning December 1, trees along the Wells Street side of the Hospital will be decorated with Lights of Love. This year, each lit tree represents $1,000 raised for the Hospital's Women’s Health Initiative, which includes the purchase of three new state-of-the-art digital mammography machines, new sterotactic biopsy equipment, and an increased focus on cardiac and OB/GYN care for women. The Auxiliary has established a $25,000 goal as part of its overall $150,000 pledge to The Westerly Hospital’s Women’s Health Initiative.
